Bluebirds, necrophilia and ice cream, it was all in a night’s work for Colin Dardis at the Black Box Cafe.

Following a screening of Crazy Love, Belgian director Dominique Deruddere’s critically acclaimed 1987 film based on three Bukowski short stories, Dardis hosted a poetry evening dedicated to the legend himself. 

With a mixture of listed and open mic poets, the evening was an orgy of readings from both Bukowski’s collection and the ruddied notebooks of our own local poets.
