From Scary Women to a Hole in the Head! What a start to the festival we have had.
A weekend of premieres including the Uk premiere of Dean Kavanagh’s Hole In The Head and we were delighted to welcome Antonio Lukich to Belfast for the UK/Ireland premiere of Luxembourg Luxembourg at Cineworld. The QFT was buzzing on Saturday for the short film competition attended by the competition jury, Tara Brady (The Irish Times), Laura Conlon (Filmmaker and BFF21 Short Film Competition Winner) and Dr. Stephen Baker (Ulster University). The evening ended at the Crescent Arts Centre with a filmmaker meet up and of course some Birra Moretti!
There was a great atmosphere at The Strand Arts Centre on Sunday which saw a gathering of filmmakers and film fans for the New Cinema: Irish Shorts, not to mention all the fantastic international films we have been screening at Cineworld, Belfast!
