Last night the Belfast Slave free Zone panel discussion and screenings played to a packed audience in East Belfast’s Strand Arts Centre.

Camilla Brown from Unchosen introduced the three short films being premiered: No Hope, Lets Talk About Sex and The Trip. Unchosen’s aim is to educate people and communities to recognise modern day slavery and take action to reduce demand and increase prevention. Students, local community activists, MLA’s, and the PSNI where represented in the audience. Panellists included Gayle Bunting, Director of Invisible Traffick; Dr. Rory O’Connell, Dir. Transitional Justice Inst. University of Ulster;  Elizabeth Griffith, Law Centre (NI); Detective Superintendent, Phillip Marshall, PSNI (Organised Crime Branch); – a lively Q&A session followed the screenings.
