Translink and Belfast Film Festival are teaming up this Thanksgiving weekend to present a unique 30th anniversary screening of ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’ on the main concourse of Belfast’s Central Railway Station.

A limited number of tickets will go on sale at 12pm, Friday 3rd November, so mark it in your dairies so you don’t miss out!

‘One of the funniest films ever made’ (Reel Film Reviews),  Planes, Trains & Automobiles tells the story of 2 guys just trying to make it home for the holiday season.

Easily excitable Neal Page (Steve Martin) is somewhat of a control freak. On his way to Chicago to spend Thanksgiving with his wife (Laila Robins) and kids, his flight is rerouted to a distant city in Kansas because of a freak snowstorm, and his sanity begins to fray. Worse yet, he is forced to bunk up with talkative Del Griffith (John Candy), whom he finds extremely annoying. Together they must overcome the insanity of holiday travel to reach their intended destination.

Translink: Getting You Home This Winter.

A surprisingly powerful, and incredibly funny, little movie led by two terrific performances and John Hughes’ razor sharp script.RL. SHAFFER
