Opening this year’s festival is Lost City, the first feature drama by Belfast filmmaker and friend to the festival Seán Murray.
Known primarily for his work in documentary, including the award-winning Unquiet Graves, this is Murray’s first fictional feature film and is an intricate, fast-paced debut.
Starring Martin McCann (Blue Lights) as Paul, a boxer whose life is getting back on track when he starts dating a woman with a troubled past. When her violent ex-boyfriend, a notorious Limerick gangster, follows her to Belfast, Paul finds himself caught up in a crime underworld in order to protect the woman he loves.
