Belfast Film Festival was saddened to hear the news of the death of Belfast-born actor Jimmy Ellis.
From the Billy plays to Z-Cars, Ellis will always be remembered and celebrated in this city. His was a lifetime of achievement that we were proud to recognize with a dedicated evening, attended by Jimmy and his family, during the 12th Belfast Film Festival. Interviewed and introduced by Gerry Anderson, Jimmy received his lifetime achievement award at the Europa Hotel, here in the city that meant the world to him.
