The story centres on Luz, who walks an emotional tightrope between the exploitative and illegal nature of her working life in Switzerland while feeling the pull of her young daughter still in the Philippines, and manipulative partner who is using a reality TV show to publicly shame her. The community of women workers around her offer comfort and complications, as she tries to climb the career ladder in a world filled with false promises and inequalities.
