After premiering his widely anticipated longform documentary at various international festivals (including Docs Ireland) earlier this year, Mark Cousins excitingly returns to Belfast Film Festival with another chapter.
Following on from his hugely influential, 15-hour The Story of Film: An Odyssey, and the subsequent, A Story of Children and Film, and Women Make Film: A New Road Movie Through Cinema, Cousins continues his exploration of cinematic landscapes with this new journey through documentary history.
Weaving through time, culture and place with his singular, inspirational passion for the medium, the chapter looks at documentary-making of the 1980s during the fall of the Soviet regime and the rise of the music documentary. Not to be missed!
