We are looking for exceptional individuals to join our team! Plans are well underway for the 22nd Belfast Film Festival and we have a number exciting fixed term, freelance job opportunities available. Read on for your opportunity to work at this year’s festival.

ROLE: Volunteer Co-ordinator

FIXED TERM: 6 weeks (variable) from September – 13 November 2022

FEE: £3,000

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Head of Events

Job Summary: To recruit, brief and coordinate the BFF22 cohort of volunteers and oversee all aspects of volunteer engagement during the festival. People management experience as well as excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.

Experience: Previous experience of this or a similar role is required.

ROLE: Guest Co-ordinator

FIXED TERM: 6 weeks (variable) from September – 13 November 2022

FEE: £3,000

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Head of Events

Job Summary: Responsible for all aspects of Festival Guest management.

Experience: Previous experience of this or a similar role is required in a client or customer facing environment / other festivals / people management experience as well as excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.

ROLE: Box Office Assistant

FIXED TERM:  6 weeks (variable) from October – 13 November 2022

FEE: £3,000

RESPONSIBLE TO:   Box Office Manager / Head of Marketing

Job Summary: work with the Box Office Manager and team to ensure an efficient delivery for customers and guests of all aspects of BFF box office

Experience: Previous Box Office experience desirable / previous administrative experience essential.

ROLE: Administration Assistant 

FREELANCE: 16 – 20 hours per week (Variable) Initially 2 months October and November, with view to extending.

Hourly Rate: £10 per hour

RESPONSIBLE TO: Finance / Admin Officer & Festival Director

Job Summary: Assist in the smooth delivery of in all festival administrative tasks working with the team towards delivery of BFF22.

Experience: 1 – 2 years office based admin experience

ROLE: Box Office and Event Support Staff – Casual Staff 

SHORT TERM: Shift based work during 10 day festival period, 2nd – 13th November.

Rate: £10 ph

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Box Office Manager/Head of Events

These are short terms roles that are shift based during the festival period of 2nd – 13th November 2022. Ideal for anyone interested in getting experience working within a film festival or for those who just love film!

Previous customer facing experience and/or event work desirable.

ROLE:  Marketing & Digital Content Coordinator (Applications Now Closed)

FIXED TERM: September 1st – Mid November 2022 (TBC)

FEE: £7,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Head of Marketing

The Marketing & Digital Content Coordinator will be responsible for gathering, creating and coordinating the online content for Belfast Film Festival.  They will assist with all aspects of marketing for the festival including event management, publicity and PR, advertising and design, as well as festival administration and general festival duties.

The successful candidate will have a marketing qualification with a minimum 3 years previous experience in a marketing environment as well as excellent IT skills and experience in developing a broad range of online content.
