We have officially launched our brand new programme!

The 15th Belfast Film Festival launched today in The Black Box, Belfast, to a packed audience of industry professionals and assembled guests.Festival director Michele Devlin introduced the programme, which runs from 16th to 25th April.

Special guests included Mark Cousins, writer and director of ‘I Am Belfast,’ which receives its World Premiere to kick off the festival on Thursday 16th April. Also in attendance were the film’s composer, David Holmes, as well as star Helena Bereen, and the films producers.

Ex-Northern Ireland footballer David Campbell joined screenwriter Marie Jones to talk about ‘Shooting for Socrates,’ which receives its Gala UK Premiere on Friday 24th April in the Waterfront Hall.

Stephen Fingleton, director of the Closing Night Gala Film ‘The Survivalist,’ spoke about filming and presenting his debut feature at the festival.

Guests were treated to a sneak preview of highlights from the festival programme, which is available online as well as in physical copy.
