The film ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’ closed the Belfast Film Festival 2016

The evening of the closing night gala started at the Movie House with the screening of the film ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’, a comedy drama directed by Stephen Frears tells the inspirational true story of the eponymous New York heiress who obsessively pursued her dream of becoming a great singer.

Before the screening assistants could attend the speech of Michele Devlin, the Festival Director, and Kevin Jackson, the Festival Chairperson.

The closing night continued in one of the most well-known venues of the Festival, The Black Box.


After ten days of intense cinema with more than 133 films and events from 30 countries around the world we have to say goodbye to the 16th edition of the BFF. Ten days that hide 12 months of work and passion for the seventh art.
