The Dig after-party packed out The Marcus Ward, supported by our fabulous sponsors Birra Moretti and Jaxbox Gin!
Our Closing Night film, The Dig, sold out two screens in the Moviehouse, Dublin Road and boasted an incredible line up of Northern Irish talent. Directed by Andy and Ryan Tohill, The Dig tells the story of Ronan Callahan, who returns home after spending fifteen years in prison for murder and finds the victim’s father searching for the body.
The Dig was produced by Brian J. Falconer under the Belfast based production company Out Of Orbit, was written by Stuart Drennan and starred Irish actors Moe Dunford, Francis Magee and Emily Taaffe.
Festival director Michele Devlin gave her closing night remarks along with Festival Chair Mark Cousins, before Co-Chair Brian Henry Martin introduced Andy and Ryan Tohill. The brothers had everyone in tears during their emotional speeches, thanking their dad, partners and friends, before Brian Henry Martin presented them with the golden shovel!
At our After-Party in The Marcus Ward festival goers, volunteers, the cast and crew of The Dig, family and friends, all gathered to celebrate the success of The Dig!
We were all treated to some great food and fabulous drinks by our sponsors Birra Moretti and Jawbox Gin! Thank you for being with us every step of the way this festival!
