At the 18th Belfast Film Festival we have a feast of actors, directors, writers, musicians, critics and producers from the UK, Mexico and Berlin to take part in various Q&A’s across Belfast.

Friday 13th April

  • Tigers are not Afraid: Mexican writer and director Issa López will be taking part in a Q&A following the screening.

Saturday 14th April

  • Mike Catto In Conversation: Mike Catto, a renowned film writer and lecturer, talks about his passion for cinema, with clips from his favourite films.
  • Clio Barnard: British director Clio Barnard, known for The Arbor and The Selfish Giant, will take part in a Q&A.
  • Calais Children: A Case To AnswerDirector Sue Clayton will take part in a Q&A following the screening.

Monday 16th April

  • Kissing Candice: Writer and Director Aoife McArdle will take part in a Q&A following the screening.

Tuesday 17th April 

  • The Cured: Rory Friers and Niall Kennedy of And So I Watch You From Afar, who composed the soundtrack, will take part in a Q&A following the screening.

Wednesday 18th April

  • Pin Cushion: Writer and director Deborah Haywood will take part in a Q&A following the screening.
  • Ron Hutchinson: Emmy Award winning screenwriter, known for films such as The Island of Dr. Moreau, Blue Ice and Against the Wall, will talk about his career.
  • Graham Linehan: Graham Linehan co-writer of Father Ted and Black Books and writer and director of The IT Crowd, will discuss his career in a public Q&A with Brian Henry Martin.

  • Snowflake: Director Adolfo J. Kolmerer, writer Arend Remmers, producer and lead actor Reza Brojerdi, actor David Masterson and actress Judith Horesch will take part in a Q&A following the screening.

Saturday 21st April

  • Closing Night Gala – The Dig: Directors Andrew and Ryan Tohill, lead actors Moe Dunford (Patrick’s Day, Vikings), Emily Taaffe (Beast, Paula), Francis Magee (Jimmy’s Hall, Rogue One) and Lorcan Cranitch (The Legend of Longwood, Love, Rosie) will all be in attendance.
